. James Bernard, age 80 of Murrysville died suddenly on Thursday March 22, 2018. He was born on October 20, 1937 in Turtle Creek a son of the late Alfred and Mary (Vogliano) Bernard. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a welder for Westinghouse and was an Army Reserve Veteran. In addition to his parents he is predeceased by his brothers Jack and Fred Bernard. Surviving are his wife of 33 years Carol (Katrinsak) Bernard; son James Bernard and his wife Gretchen and daughter Jill Bernard. Grandchildren; Adriana and James Bernard Jr.. Step children Kandi Gerenyi, Jon and his wife Melrose (Retes) Opland and his most beloved puppy Pepe. James was an expert at restoring all cars and could fix anything, enjoyed working out and was a 10K runner. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Ott Funeral Home, Inc. 805 Pennsylvania Avenue, Irwin where a Blessing Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 am.
