John C.  Mutschler
John C. Mutschler, 71 of North Huntingdon died Saturday September 29, 2018, in the Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born May 19, 1947 in Monessen, he was the son of the late Bernard Mutschler and Evelyn Mutschler Tomcanin, and stepson of the late Eddie Tomcanin. He was also preceded in death by his brother Bucky Mutschler. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a millwright for United States Steel Irving Works, a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Irwin, St. Jude Council Knights of Columbus, He was a member and former chief of the Shafton Fire Dept. John was a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Vietnam War, John was former commissioner for North Huntingdon Township. Surviving is his wife of 46 yrs., Patrice Voyna Mutschler, a daughter, Marcy Jo Mutschler of North Huntingdon. Several aunts, an uncle, a neice, a nephew and numerous cousins, and his two fur babies, Cadbury and Charlie. Friends will be received at the Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave. Irwin on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until 12 Noon, at which time a blessing service will take place. Interment will follow in the Irwin Union Cemetery, North Huntingdon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any safe animal shelter. For online condolences, please visit
