Hazel E.  Veverka
Hazel E. (Ingraham) Veverka, 99, of North Huntingdon formerly of Hahntwon, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother died Monday May 28, 2018 in the Transition Healthcare, North Huntingdon. She was born July 11, 1918, in Herminie a daughter of the late John and Annie (Bickerstaff) Ingraham. Hazel was an retired employee of Colonial Manor and Ben gross’s Restaurants where she worked for 30 years. She was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan and she loved to watch golf. She was a Charter member of the Lutheran Church of Our Savior. Her famous saying was “Let It Go”. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Russell N. Veverka in 2002, an infant brother, James; a sister Esther Fazioli; a sons-in-law, Richard Truxal, George Stofko and Sean Johnson; brother-in-law Phillip Fazioli; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Gladys and George Popella; Surviving are four children; Ronald Veverka and wife, Roberta, of North Huntingdon, David Veverka and wife, Paula, of Jeannette, Richard Veverka and his wife Margie, of North Huntingdon, and Norma Truxal of Greensburg; grandchildren Paula (Rick) Hildenbrand, Robert (Jennifer) Veverka, Roni Ann Johnson, Jason (Brenda) Veverka, Steven(Tatum) Veverka and Chad Veverka step grandchildren Gyendolen (Rob) Hopkins, Chevonne and Dennis Taylor; 13 great grandchildren Brooke Hildenbrand, Dannon Johnson, Ryan and Claire Veverka, Makenzie and Victoria Veverka, Mia, Macy and Beau Veverka; step great grandchildren Rowen, Evan and Finley Hopkins and Kallen Taylor and loving nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Ott Funeral Home Inc., 805 Pennsylvania Ave., Irwin on Thursday from 2-4 &6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Irwin Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bridges Hospice, 1200 Gulf Lab Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15238.
